Our History

Irving Garston started Garston Sign Supplies, Inc. in 1960 in downtown Hartford, Connecticut. Irving brought the best-personalized service to his customers – an important commitment. In 1968 Jerry Garston (Irving’s son) continued that commitment and expanded product lines with the latest developments. As the business grew, so did the family involvement. In 1975, Jerry’s sons, Steve and Dean, joined the company, becoming one of the few third generation companies in the industry.

Our three locations provide the widest range of full service. With a separate sales force for each of our divisions, (Sign Supply, Screen printing and Digital) allows us to provide unparallel customer support. Along with a friendly customer service staff, we provide technical training, service and phone support on equipment purchases.

Throughout Garston’s history we have been fortunate to earn a reputation as a top quality company, dedicated to customer service. It has always been our philosophy to provide the highest quality products along with unwavering commitment to our customers. Our continued growth could not have been achieved without the loyalty of our customers and dedication and cooperation of our employees. Thanks to the devotion and commitment of our staff and management, we have become one of the country’s most important, highly respected and influential sign, screen-printing and digital supplier.
